The Langham, Melbourne’s Concierge, Ben Davies honoured at the 2010 HM Awards

MELBOURNE, 8th September, 2010- The Langham, Melbourne’s superior level of service excellence was formally recognized on Friday night (September 3rd) with Concierge, Ben Davies awarded the People Award for Concierge at the annual HM Awards in Sydney. The 8th annual Awards were the biggest to date with over 1300 entries received. Now recognized as a showcase of the best the travel industry has to offer, the Awards are open to hotel staff across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, and celebrate people and properties across 42 categories.

“Ben joined The Langham in 2009 as Assistant Chief Concierge, having previously held the position of Chief Concierge with the Sofitel Melbourne. He was accepted into the prestigious international Concierge association, Les Clefs d’Or approximately six years ago. Being accepted into Les Clefs d’Or (the golden keys) is an extremely esteemed accolade in the career of a Concierge and is an honor reserved for a highly select number of service professionals who continually demonstrate the highest level of care for their guests.

An active and valued member of Les Clefs d’Or, Ben is involved with organizing functions, serving on the Les Clefs d’Or interview committee and regularly plays a major part in raising funds for charity at the Annual Concierge Ball.
