Melbourne, 28th June, 2011 - Following the success of the inaugural ‘Melba Mannequins’ Ladies’ Fashion Luncheon in May, Southbank’s five star hotel, The Langham, Melbourne and Australian fashion icon, Anthea Crawford will join together again on July 27th to unveil the designer’s 2011 Spring/Summer collection. Ladies will love the Spring fashion preview, delicious three-course lunch and champagne, amazing giveaways and the secret Spring styling tips and tricks divulged by celebrity stylist, Franco Schifilliti.
The event, hosted by Gorgi Coghlan of Network Ten’s The Circle, will support the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) with a charity raffle incorporated into the afternoon and $20 of each event ticket sale being donated to the Foundation. Over $4000 was raised for OCRF through ticket sales, raffle and donations at the first Ladies’ Fashion Luncheon.
Franco Schifilliti said ladies could expect soft silhouettes and bright, fresh colours for the coming season.
“With Spring on the not too distant horizon, ladies should be ready for a colour splash as a riot of dazzling brights sets the new direction for the warmer months,” Franco said.
“We will also begin to see softer feminine shapes, highlighted by pleats, gathers and delicate draping.”
