Chuan Spa at The Langham, Melbourne targets sore muscles with a new petro-chemical free, healing balm

Melbourne, May 10, 2012 - Wellness experts at the luxurious, award-winning Chuan Spa at The Langham, Melbourne have developed a new, completely natural Clove Thermal Balm to assist in the healing and recovery of tired and stressed muscles. Following guest feedback, Spa Manager Louise Ring identified an increasing need for a natural and soothing treatment for muscular pain. In response to this, Ms. Ring worked with her team of therapists to develop a solution complementing the Spa’s commitment to complete wellbeing.

Chuan Spa’s new Clove Thermal Balm is the first warming balm of its type to be produced – free of petrochemicals and featuring all-natural active ingredients;

  • Clove – a cooling and anti-inflammatory oil
  • Camphor – a stimulating and sedative essential oil to calm and assist with circulation
  • Cajeput– a calmative to relax the nerves
  • Arnica – for muscle aches, injured muscles, bruising and swelling
  • Beeswax & Shea Butter – a safe and nourishing petrochemical-free base
  • Peppermint – to aid circulation and provide relief from pain
  • Eucalyptus – analgesic and anti-inflammatory in nature, assists in the relief of muscle and joint pain
While other popular healing balms use a petrochemical base, the Clove Thermal Balm is completely free of petrochemicals, making it perfect for sensitive skin or those looking for a more natural solution. As well as applying the balm directly to affected muscles, the crème can be massaged into the temples to provide soothing relief from headaches or rubbed onto the chest to aid breathing and encourage a peaceful night’s sleep.

In response to client feedback, Louise and her team of Chuan Spa therapists have now incorporated the balm into a range of treatments to treat guests’ needs. Guests can now experience the balm’s therapeutic properties first hand during a revitalizing remedial massage, in which the balm is used to aid relief from muscular soreness.

With the natural goodness of anti-inflammatory oils, gentle beeswax and shea butter, soothing arnica and refreshing peppermint and eucalyptus, the Chuan Spa Clove Thermal Balm is the ideal treatment to relieve tender, weary muscles.

The Clove Thermal Balm can be purchased from Chuan Spa and the Langham’s gift shop, Flavours of Langham for $25 for continued at-home therapy. For more information on Chuan Spa and The Langham, Melbourne visit: www.chuanspa.com.au or melbourne.langhamhotels.com.au.
