Welcome the Year of the Water Snake with celebrations at The Langham, Melbourne
MELBOURNE, 15 JANUARY 2013 - Guests at The Langham, Melbourne are set for an unforgettable experience this Chinese New Year as the hotel rolls out the red carpet for its Chinese New Year celebrations. The hotel has prepared a magnificent week of feasting to commemorate the arrival of the Year of the Water Snake at its award-winning buffet restaurant, Melba.
From Monday February 4th until Friday February 8th guests can enjoy Chinese dishes, bountiful seafood and piping hot selections from Melba’s interactive kitchens – inspired by the hawker stalls of Asia. The two most important days in the Chinese lunar calendar, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, can be celebrated in true Chinese style over an extravagant buffet lunch or dinner, with The Langham Melbourne’s luxurious surrounds providing the ideal backdrop for families to gather and celebrate the auspicious period.
An enticing array of dishes awaits guests, inspired by The Langham’s oriental heritage and created by chefs from Asia, including Hong Kong-born Executive Chef, Anthony Ross, and Malaysian-born Head Chef David How – a master of the wok station. As the National Winner of the ‘Flavours of the World’ category at Lifestyle Food Channel’s ‘I ♥ FOOD’ awards (2012), and the partner hotel for the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, this Chinese New Year feast is not to be missed!
