Head Judge on Bravo's Top Chef Just Dessert, Johnny Iuzzini

MELBOURNE - Next week, legendary New York-based pastry chef, Johnny Iuzzini will jet into Melbourne as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and to showcase his award-winning talent to visitors of The Langham, Melbourne’s luxurious Aria Bar.
Johnny Iuzzini’s creations are an innovative blend of art and science. His unique approach to pastry has earned him prestigious accolades including being named one of the “10 Best Pastry Chefs in America” by Pastry Art and Design magazine.
His catch-phrase is “desserts are last, but don’t eat them least.” He’s an author of the best-selling cookbook, Dessert Fourplay: Sweet Quartets from a Four Star Pastry Chef and currently working on his second book, due out later this year. He honed his craft at France’s famed Laduree where he completed a stage and at acclaimed eateries, Brooklyn’s The River Café, Daniel Boulud’s original and subsequent, Daniel and Café Boulud and Restaurant Jeans George. Forbes magazine named him one of the “10 Most Influential Pastry Chefs in America” while his pastry consulting company is aptly named, Sugar Fueled Inc. When he’s not in the kitchen, you may find him racing motorcycles.
On Thursday 6 March only, the master pastry chef himself will be meeting and greeting guests throughout the day. He will also be available to sign his cookbook and his books will be available for purchase.

On weekdays from Monday 3 March until Friday 14 March, Johnny Iuzzini and The Langham, Melbourne will be teaming up to serve decadent High Teas with a mix of traditional warm fluffy scones, ribbon sandwiches and Johnny Iuzzini’s contemporary sweets including chili chocolate cake, a chestnut tart, chocolate peanut cake and an intriguing corn pannacotta accompanied by a Madeleine and an American-inspired pumpkin and pine nut tart.
High Tea is available daily from 10.30am until 4.30pm for $65.00 per person and includes a generous savoury and indulgent selection of sweets.
