Saturday 16 June 2012 Alto
We met at our office in 1998 and on one of our holidays to New York in September 2010 Matt proposed in Central Park. We were both elated about our next step together and wanted to celebrate with close family and friends.
The Langham Melbourne had always been our first preference as we wanted an intimate celebration that echoed understated elegance, attention to detail and with a little luxury. We made a conscious decision to at least look at other venues, which confirmed our first choice was right. .
The Langham delivered a memorable five star celebration for our family and friends. Our reception in the Alto room provided our guests with stunning views of Melbourne at night and we had the whole floor to our wedding celebration. The recommended suppliers did an amazing job and we added a few extras to complete the fabulous dining experience and settings. It was the unexpected little surprises that added to our delight, one of them being the champagne and chocolate torte waiting for us in our room after the celebration and a few other personal treats which we will leave as a surprise for you.
Our wedding co-ordinator was genuinely engaging and passionate about fulfilling our vision. Zayna Fratto's extensive experience and guidance was invaluable. From the minute we arrived at the Langham the day before the wedding until we left, all staff including the Chefs and the banquet team made our wedding truly memorable.
Attend the Bridal Showcase hosted by The Langham. This is invaluable and we got to meet the suppliers. Ask questions about finer details to remove any doubt. Stay true to your vision if your budget permits as many of the finer details add to the experience for you and your guests. Great photography and videography can capture these special elements so be sure to advise them what to look out for. Stay as stress-free and healthy as possible in the lead up to the big day so that you are looking and feeling great.
The Langham stayed true to its promise of an amazing wedding celebration and all staff went above and beyond our expectations and for that we are truly grateful. Make a conscious decision to stop briefly and just take moments in throughout the day. It really does go by in the blink of an eye.
