MELBOURNE - The luxurious The Langham, Melbourne has added another award to its impressive portfolio at the Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) National Awards for Excellence held in Hobart last night. Assistant Revenue Manager, Christy Doherty, was named the national Front Office Service Employee of the Year, after winning the State award in the same category in June. The win is an acknowledgment of the calibre of staff extending the enchanting hospitality and service with poise the hotel is famed for delivering, and the training and development focus of the hotel.

Ms Doherty has been with The Langham, Melbourne since 2005, starting in the Communications Centre as a Reception Guest Services Agent. Within a year, she was promoted to the role of Front Office Duty Manager. In 2008, Ms Doherty was appointed as The Langham, Melbourne's Reservations Manager, and in May this year was promoted to Assistant Revenue Manager. Ms Doherty holds a Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management from the Australian International Hotel School.
